After having read the What is a hovercraft? page, you may be wondering," Who can build one of these, and what would it be used for?"
The simple answer to the first question is...YOU! You can build a hovercraft. It's actually less complicated
than most people realize. Contrary to popular belief, a hovercraft can be built out of simple materials found at most
hardware stores. The author of this site built his first hovercraft at age 12!!!
Hovercrafts can be used for many things. A hovercraft makes a great science project and a fun hobby. It
is also a great way for teachers to demonstrate the power of air pressure to their class.
Hovercrafts are very simple, easy to construct, and make a great weekend project.

It was constructed from materials found at a local hardware store. It cost around eighty dollars and took only
a day to build.
